Welcome to the newly updated California M.A.P. to Inclusion and Belonging…Making Access Possible website, a project operating under the Center for Child and Family Studies at WestEd and funded by the California Department of Education's Early Education & Support Division with a portion of the federal Child Care Development Fund Quality Improvement Allocation. The MAP Project supports the inclusion of children with disabilities and other special needs ages birth to 21 in child care, after school and community settings.

This 19 page newsletter explains how California is supporting the social and emotional development of young children through the CA CSEFEL Teaching Pyramid approach.
In coordination with the Center for Disease Control (CDC), this area of the MAP to Inclusion and Belonging website promotes the distribution of the free CDC materials in identifying the early signs of a developmental delay.
